Bruce Lazarus joined Symphony MediaAI as its Chief Operating Officer in 1998 and was named the company’s CEO in 2001. Bruce has more than 20 years of financial management and accounting experience in the media industry, including consulting for the accounting and finance departments of Fox News Channel, launching and serving as Director of Finance for the CNBC television network and serving as CFO of Request Television. He had previously served as Corporate Controller for Reiss Media and its Request TV operation and held accounting management posts at NBC Sports and RCA.
Before entering the media industry in 1982, Bruce was a senior analyst with Lever Brothers. He earned an MBA Degree in Corporate Finance from the City University of New York’s Baruch College and a bachelor’s of science degree in resources management from the State University of New York. He is an active member of the Broadcast Cable Financial Management Association and serves on its Cable Committee. Bruce also served as a pioneering member of CAB’s (Cable Advertising Bureau) Electronic Data Initiative (EDI).
Senior Vice President, Audit Operations
John joined Symphony MediaAI in 1998 as a staff auditor. John oversees all audit operations including Basic, Premium and International. John has played a leadership role in establishing Cable Audit as the premier auditing firm serving the cable, satellite and Telco industries. In his executive role, John has been instrumental in developing proprietary methodologies for the audit program including staff development, software enhancements and project management.
Prior to joining Symphony MediaAI, John worked at Merrill Lynch as an Investment Consultant.
John has Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Colorado State and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
Vice President, Revenue Management
Karin joined Symphony MediaAI as the Vice President of Revenue Management Services in October of 2015, with nearly 15 years experience in finance, operations and accounting. Karin came to Symphony MediaAI from MPEG LA, LLC, the world’s leading licensing administrator for high technology patent pools, where she was responsible for managing the financial and operational activities associated with collecting and distributing royalties related to consumer electronics products.
Prior to working in the consumer electronics and media space, Karin held management positions at MDC Holdings, Inc., Dynami Solutions, LLC, ALLURData, Inc., and Baum Arensmeier & Talent, Inc. She earned both her Bachelors and MBA from the University of Colorado.
Karin is responsible for leading the Revenue Management Services business unit; handling all aspects of revenue transactions from contract compliance, invoicing, collections and month-end close to ad hoc reporting and the continued development of Symphony MediaAI’s Vmetric subscriber management solution, on behalf of Symphony MediaAI’s RMS client base.
Senior Vice President, Business Operations
David has over 25 years of cable finance experience. He has extensive experience in a wide range of leadership, management and advisory positions. He is responsible for providing timely and accurate financial statements, ongoing cash flow projections, product and services development, annual business plans, oversight over accounting and finance operations, as well as design and maintenance of the financial reporting structure. In addition, his responsibilities include day-to-day oversight of Symphony MediaAI’s Operations, including Human Resources.
Prior to joining Symphony MediaAI, David was CFO of MavTV where he was responsible for the integrity of financial information and systems for MavTV. He developed and implemented accounting policies, coordination of systems and procedures, and prepared operating data, including interim and year-end financial statements for SEC compliance and all tax reporting. He also developed and modeled strategic business plans to support revenue growth used to attract potential investors, assisted in raising funds necessary to support development and growth of an emerging network and ultimately assisted in the business valuation, negotiation and due diligence of acquisition opportunities.
David began his career in broadcast media at Showtime Networks. He started as an Affiliate Auditor and later became VP of Finance accountable for all financial aspects of the Western Region.
David holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Senior Vice President, Audit and Client Relations Services
Amy joined Symphony MediaAI in 2002 and has held the positions of Audit Manager and Director prior to her current position as Vice President, Audit Services. Amy has managed both the audit operations and client relations for many of Symphony MediaAI’s domestic, premium and international clientele. In her current capacity as Vice President, Audit Services, Amy plays a leadership role in overseeing the Audit Operations Department, as well as the Contract Compliance and Client Relations teams, serving as the principal liaison between Symphony MediaAI and many of its valuable clients. Amy also oversees the recruiting, staff development and training for all staff within the Audit Operations Department at Symphony MediaAI.
Amy holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Vice President, Audit Operations
Matthew joined Symphony MediaAI in 2012 and has held the positions Sr. Audit Manager and Director prior to his current position as Vice President, Audit Operations. Matthew has managed audit operations for many of Symphony MediaAI’s domestic and premium clientele. In his current role, Matthew has focused on staff development and project management to further mobilize Symphony MediaAI’s staff and allow growth into new business segments.
Prior to joining Symphony MediaAI, Matthew held positions with both Adelphia Communications and Time Warner Cable, where as part of his key responsibilities, he was responsible for coordinating and resolving the annual programming audits. Additionally, he supported the programming accounting teams to ensure contract compliance, reduced programming liabilities and played a key role in the launch and sustainability of Time Warner Cable’s automated programming remittance application.
Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and an MBA from Alfred University of Alfred, NY.
Vice President, Audit Operations
Greg joined Symphony MediaAI in 1996 and has held several audit positions prior to his current position as Vice President, Audit Operations. Over the last decade Greg has primarily directed, developed and managed Symphony MediaAI’s audit program relationships with the Multichannel Video Programming Distributors that are the subject of Symphony MediaAI’s programming audits. Additionally, he works with other senior staff to develop new audit business proposals and oversees the teams that are involved in the broadcast/retransmission consent audit projects.
Prior to joining Symphony MediaAI, Greg held positions in the banking and financial services industries in Florida and Colorado. These companies included First Union/Wachovia National Bank and an Arthur Andersen managed joint venture with the Resolution Trust Corporation.
Greg holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida, including a Major in Finance and a Minor in Computer Science.
Vice President, Digital Client Services
Alex joined Symphony MediaAI in 2011 and has held positions of Account Manager and Director prior to her current position as Vice President, Digital Client Services. Alex has managed the client relations for a variety of Symphony MediaAI’s domestic, premium and international clientele. In her current capacity as Vice President, Digital Client Services, Alex focuses on client relations, contract compliance and business development for Symphony MediaAI’s clients who engage in digital distribution audits, including but not limited to movie studios, game publishers and music groups.
Prior to joining Symphony MediaAI, Alex worked as a Program Director at Colorado State University. Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts from Long Island University and an MBA from the University of Colorado.
Vice President, Audit Operations
Chris joined Symphony MediaAI in 2008 and has held positions of Audit Manager and Director prior to his current position as Vice President, Audit Operations. For several years Chris managed audit operations for many of Symphony MediaAI’s domestic linear programming and premium services clientele. In his current role as Vice President, Chris manages audit operations on behalf of Symphony MediaAI’s international clientele, as well as focusing on the development and management of Symphony MediaAI’s digital distribution audit program, which includes movie studios, gaming publishers and music groups.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Economics and Management of Information Systems from the University of Northern Iowa.
Vice President, Human Resources
Lindy joined Symphony MediaAI in 2015 as Director, Human Resources, prior to her current role as Vice President, Human Resources. Lindy directs all Human Resource functions to include recruiting/hiring, training and development, compensation, benefits, performance management and employee relations. Lindy started her HR career as an internal trainer for a local banking organization. She has also worked for both domestic and international companies in the mineral and mining industry, as a HR Administrator with Tenneco Minerals, a division of Tenneco Inc, and HR Manager at Golden Star Resources, a Canadian company. Prior to Symphony MediaAI, Lindy worked for the professional sports franchise and entertainment company, Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, as Director, HR.
Lindy graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado.
Michael T. Trujillo
Senior Vice President of Business Development
Michael Trujillo is a successful business leader with nearly 30 years of experience across multiple industries including aerospace, management consulting and media. He possesses a wide range of expertise in finance, operations, program management and business development. Michael has held senior executive positions in the media and entertainment industry on both the MVPD and Programmer sides of the business with emphasis on content acquisition, contract negotiations and international and domestic network distribution.
Michael joins Symphony MediaAI as Senior Vice President of Business Development. He is responsible for leading all business development efforts for Symphony MediaAI including Audit and Revenue Management services for broadcast, cable, digital, music, studios, gaming and international.
Prior to joining Symphony MediaAI, Michael was Senior Vice President of Global Distribution at Ride Television Network where he was responsible for expanding the worldwide carriage of the equestrian lifestyle network. He also served as Vice President of Domestic and International Distribution for MAVTV, a motorsports themed network owned by Lucas Oil. Michael held senior management positions within the programming organization at DISH Network where his responsibilities included leading the finance and administration group and negotiating network carriage and renewal agreements. He also served as General Manager of DISH Latino programming.
Michael began his career as a senior financial analyst at Hughes Electronics, a defense and satellite communications company based in Los Angeles, California. He earned his Bachelor’s degree at the University of New Mexico, and holds an MBA from the University of Denver.
